Vivaplex 12-Pack of 4 oz Amber Glass Bottles with Lids Review

Love these bottles! Perfect for my TN Vanilla. Be careful, sometimes it takes an extra twist to align the top, but the sealant on the inside seals it perfectly.

I made homemade vanilla and these bottles were perfect for her. I made stickers and gave them to family and friends for Thanksgiving to use vanilla in the Christmas baking! 4 ounces more than most bottles of vanilla you'll find on any grocery shelf.

I've used these bottles for homemade vanilla as have a bunch of other users. They work very well and the inserts in the lids prevent them from leaking. I don't know if they have changed the way the inserts are made or not but they can be removed for cleaning although I read in previous reviews prior to purchase that this is not the case.

When they arrived my wife washed them thoroughly in hot soapy water and strained the vanilla extract she had in the making. Some sweet labels and viola!, very valuable gifts. We'll have more than enough for the second batch. I remember store bought vanilla in nice little brown bottles. The shape doesn't match, but the color is just right.

I bought these to make homemade vanilla but after two months two of the twelve lids cracked and broke. They seem very fragile. I would like to see better lids that don't crack and/or include extra lids. They have no seals of any kind in the cap to keep the bottles sealed or to prevent the caps from breaking, possibly being overtightened. No foam seals.
