Assembly is very easy, the parts seem to be made out of really tough materials. The only complaint I have is that the handle used to tighten the base is too big and made it difficult to install the clamp on my desk. I have not used this product in a normal application. Instead, I installed it on the ceiling (drilled through the studs) and mounted the ultra-wide monitors vertically. Worked great. Nice solid piece of metal. The only thing I would suggest is that VIVO have open holes at the top and bottom (and maybe in the middle) of the poll to let the HDMI (and power, maybe other cables) through to hide them. This VIVO monitor stand is very nice. The assembly takes only a few minutes. It attaches very securely to the desk with felt pads to avoid scratching the desk. And it comes with all the parts and tools you need except for a Phillips screwdriver depending on what type of screws your monitor needs. I love this stand. I actually use it for my 49 inch Samsung monitor which weighs more than the weight limit for this product and it seems to work fine. I extended my arm fully but I only had to use polls for height, it definitely sags a bit The arm is fully extended with my monitor so I would recommend doing the same and adding a small wooden armrest to the end, so that the tension on the lever is not so strong.
