I have used it for its intended purpose for two large kittens and they love it. For my larger adult cats I lay it on its side, remove the shelves and zip tie it to one side. It's a bit tricky to assemble for the first time, but it's really easy. optimal, but if you take care of it. This has to go on.

Better tie the platforms to the sides if you want them to stay. Stairs should also be secured with zippers. My cat had them all at the bottom of the cage. Very happy about the kittens we have for my brothers. One built that didn't "snap into place" that easily, a little wonky/wobbly. The worst problem with this cage is that the damn cats can run away when the locks are still on the strike and secure, but the kittens aren't in the cage when I get home 😕! They escaped through the floor! 😤 Shifted tray and just left. Are they geniuses?😹 Or shall we call it a product defect😒

It was very easy to assemble and easy to clean. I can hear my rescue cats jumping from platform to platform at night like Super Mario as they go inside. It is noisy and the bridges are not suitable for their adult weight. I'd say if you're just raising kittens or chinchillas or something small, go for it. If it is an adult cat, you will probably choose a more expensive wooden one.

Our 8 year old girl suddenly felt uncomfortable around other cats and had accidents because she was too scared to leave the scratching post. I brought it to her and covered it and she doesn't have to worry about her crate and food and even goes out and lays on it during the day and just lets me know when she wants to come back. It's so much better than taking her drugs like the doctor suggested

Two of my older cats with corrected and de-scratched cats have started using everything as a litter box except the 5 litter boxes I have around the house. So after much research I bought this cage and they love it. I even had room for a top entry drawer that keeps the fountain pen in the drawer. But my cats love it. Platform parts do not fit properly in the cage - you cannot attach parts to two opening doors because you need to be able to open and close doors - only one will fit properly, the other two will not fit and neither does the ladder. A hammock is a tiny, thin piece of fabric that a hamster can fit on.
