VizGiz Waterproof Weatherproof Connector Extension Review

I was able to fix the ethernet cable that ran outside the house, after the fix the cable kept the correct speed. Great product and weather protection.

The description should really state the maximum hole diameter as many Ethernet connectors have locking tabs that do not go through this connector. I measured the inside diameter of about 14mm. Hopefully this saves someone the trouble of getting this and finding out it doesn't fit.

Looks OK, buy I specifically wanted to use it with Starlink and Starlink RJ45 was too hefty. I had to modify the union nut to fit through and also cut the sealing washer, but then the sealing washer did not seal properly.

This quality product was easy to use and connects Ethernet cables with no loss of power. The signal from the connected camera is clear and strong.

Water somehow got in after I made sure the connection was correct. Completely defeated the target and fried my cable in the process. Luckily the security camera is still working but I wouldn't recommend it.

these things are delicious. They protect connections from wind and weather. We're talking extreme heat. Extremely cold. Extreme humidity. I live in Texas and we get everything. These things will decrease your connections and camera maintenance. I recommend this to everyone. Easy to use. Worth a lot of money.

Appears to be high quality plastic with gaskets inside and they pull Cat 5 strain relief and make a good seal. I expect a lot of rain in my area and for the past several years I've only wrapped my Category 5 splinters in ziplock bags. I use cat5 for Christmas light shows, lots of cat5. Splinters get wet and rust. This is my attempt to find an affordable product. I've found more sellers selling 5 packs cheaper than this item.

Sawed out a passage in 2 fittings for the connector to pass through.2. Added ring to threads to push out seal retainer more.3. This RJ45 adapter is essential when you need an extension that has to withstand extreme weather conditions. I'm using this on a security camera where the ethernet cable was cut. They have a cut in the silicone rubber gasket so you can slide it over an already connected cable. Damn, they really got it right. I've come across waterproof connectors that come with cameras and you have to put the cable through a silicone grommet before adding the connector at the end. 90% of the time I would forget and I would have to cut the end and finish again.
