What on earth is quality control. For something intended for packaging trim pieces. See photo. I even tried stretching the texture with a heat gun but it didn't work. The first photo is on the back of the tape, the second photo shows what it looks like on the chrome trim near the trunk. Please do not waste your time and money here.

Gone in just 2 weeks!

Installed as part of my partial hood wrap. Installs easily and looks great when I first installed it, but although it's supposed to last 5-7 years "no fading" mine started fading on the bonnet 2 weeks after installing it. I used knifeless 3M tape to do the stitching here and I'll probably have to completely redo the vinyl on the hood to attach the red stripe. Either that or live with pastel pink stripes.

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • Update Availability

Looks great, works great!

Purchased to protect the paint on damaged areas of the bike frame. It's not super sticky which makes it easy to install. I prepped the areas first with rubbing alcohol, heated the frame with a hair dryer, and then smoothed the tape with the hair dryer after installation. The frame is matte carbon black, this tape is almost invisible on the frame. I didn't have the jagged edge issue others have mentioned on the tape where it was cut from a larger roll.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons

High quality material, poor edge processing.

High quality vinyl. It is easy to work with and bubbles are easily removed. It doesn't alter the finish if heat and shrink work well. The only issue I can't rate 100% positively is the quality of the cut. These are 2 inch rolls cut from a larger roll. The cut isn't straight, and in order to lay flat to a surface you must first cut with a razor. Otherwise, you'll end up with a jagged edge that looks far from ideal. Keep in mind that you cannot use this as a racetrack.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Bye chrome, suitable for vinyl film and accessories

I'm so glad I found this before I found this. I use masking tape to make some small dechrome areas. But it just never looked right when I tried Plasti Dip but it takes too long and makes a mess so I stumbled upon it. And it's like I hit the jackpot. I've wanted this material for a long time, but back then it was too expensive to buy thin strips. I put it on in the middle of summer and it still stays in place like the day I put it on. It's snowed a few times this week and has held up great with…

You get what you pay for

Unlike 3M tape, glossy tape doesn't have a protective film. The simple process of attaching the band leaves a little fuss which is unacceptable to me. If he takes damage, what happens when he's exposed to the elements? Last year I put 3M tape on some window tape moldings but unfortunately the moldings got damaged by hail. A year old tape that has been through hail still looked better than this tape just installed. I also had some edge retention issues - the heat helped, but it wasn't perfect…

Useless vinyl wrapped tape

The glue or glue used is not as strong as other brands I have used. Will not stick to HDPE, LDPE and some other hard and plastic plastics. Surfaces have been cleaned of dust, dirt, debris, oils, solvents and moisture that could contaminate the surface and prevent bonding. I even tried sanding the surface with 800 grit sandpaper after cleaning and then cleaning again to remove sanding residue. This didn't work either. Duck tape, clear packing tape, and masking tape have the best adhesive…

"MANUFACTURER " directions would be helpful

Product instructions would be very helpful. Product arrived in good condition, no edge issues as noted in other reviews, looks good. But without the details of "MANUFACTURER" it remains to rely on suggestions that others have left in reviews and / or YouTube videos. Still wondering how to deal with curves in the finish as recommended by the MANUFACTURER? What are the MANUFACTURER's recommended bending limits? Should I use a hair dryer OR a heat gun as recommended by the MANUFACTURER? Does it…
