I didn't trust those with suction cups. I decided to try magnets. I am very glad that I went this way. The magnets hold it in place even when my giant day gecko sits on it and slurps, chews or jumps on it. And the cups sit well and neatly there, but then fall out of the hand with a little pressure. Washes easily and looks good.

First, CLEAN block, looks very nice, removable and reusable trays are great. But magnets. I will say that some of them work well and some don't. They should be strong enough to go through 1/4 inch PVC sheeting, but they aren't. Definitely need another way to hold them. If you use them with glass or screen, no problem. But most people work with PVC now and these magnets are not strong enough.

The magnets hold well and my geckos wouldn't pull them off (but they are very small sorrow geckos). The shells are small in their place, which can be a downside. Make sure the food doesn't splatter all over the place when you take out the bowl. I learned that the hard way the first time. But the smell also means they won't knock it out themselves, so that's fine if you're careful.

For some reason I thought this product was a lot smaller but it turned out to be huge. IMO too big for a 12x12x18 terrarium. Also, the magnets were weak, so the bar would slide across the glass in any direction. The plastic cups provided are thin disposable cups, I figured they were large acrylic cups that I could wash. I have two crested geckos, a 5 year old 50 gram male (he is tiny) and a 4 month old 5 gram female. My male has learned to release the suction cups so I've never had a ledge, the reviews have won me over and there are no complaints about the ledge itself! Expect the fact that my male gecko can fit in cups. Despite being flat, they are huge in diameter! It's difficult to get a small amount (which my geckos would eat in one sitting) into a bowl because they're so big there's a bit of a waste…
