It's my own fault, I bought it and am only now using it. I have been grooming my dogs for 15 years. My clippers (Costco's special Wahls) stopped working, so I bought another Wahl. All ramparts are not built equal. They are so loud that they scare more dogs. They cut terribly and get stuck in fine hairs. look elsewhere

Good. I decided to give this review 4 stars but the clippers themselves are great. I accidentally ordered 2 and I'm glad I did. WHAT ON EARTH?! Who carries out a product control that I and many other broken and used hair clippers receive?! Luckily I received a good pair and sent another one back. Broken scissors and broken guards. How annoying! Second, why isn't there a null guard?! You can't make a full cone without a zero. They jump from 1 to no guards at all. I hope I can buy zero elsewhere.

Purchased March 2016, used 3 times a month (1 adult, 2 children). Have tried several "combo" kits from Amazon and Costco in the past. The trimmer is usually battery operated and is sub-par at best. One of the reasons I chose this kit was that it had a wired trimmer. Both devices are well made and durable. Constant cuts and no complaints. I purchased the Wahl Professional Animal Blade Oil #3310-230 Large Clipper Oil as I believe this kit will last a long time.

My wife has been cutting my hair for over 6 years. We have used three clippers and these are by far the best. They are quiet and both the hair clipper and trimmer are much quieter, much like what you would hear a professional hairdresser do, very sharp and just work well. They went right through my hair which is normally cut every 2 weeks even after waiting 3 weeks at the time. I got tired of buying $20 hair cutting kits that lasted a year and decided on a "good" set. When they arrived all the blades were covered in black sand. Both clippers. I cleaned and oiled them with a small brush, but the large clipper blade barely vibrated, so it wouldn't cut the hair. The smaller set worked well. They seem strong and durable but the plastic has sharp edges which I wasn't expecting after paying four times my usual price for a clipper that has worked great for at least a year…

After opening them up I turned them on to see how they sounded. These are the loudest clippers I've ever bought, especially trimmers. There is no way to turn down the volume. I used a screwdriver to adjust the vibration and by default it's as loud as Hells Bells. So disappointed. It's my fault for not reading the reviews on this product. So I left the main hair trimmer, which works great but a bit noisy, and threw the edger in the trash and bought another $20 edger that is cordless.

Cuts like a professional buzzer! I've been cutting my husband's and son's hair for years and didn't realize I was missing out until I bought this buzzer. I do not like that it is not new, there are many scratches on the blade and the machine itself, definitely not a new line as advertised. Haven't tried them yet but will update

My hairstylist had a pair of these that she has been using on my hair and beard for months and I needed a kit to trim my beard at home. I am very happy with it. Comes with two clippers - one large and one small, and the large has an adjustable blade guard that allows #1 to grow to 1.5, which is the perfect length for my beard and what my wife is my "best point" for mine calls beard.
