Maybe I have a lemon?

The features on offer were great for the price, but they didn't work reliably for me. I've tried these on a few walks/jogs and found that they work at different heart rates. For example, the reading is a solid 91 when my Garmin Venu and OH1+ were at 120 and were bouncing up and down a bit. I called support and followed their instructions, removing and reinserting the battery. No luck for about 10 minutes in the next run. I tried it with and without the electrode gel. A few times it would also…

Terrible. Gen 2 was very disappointing

Gen 1 was great. Very few issues other than replacing the strap due to corrosion and broken buttons. Gen 1 rarely had connectivity issues. I just bought a new TickrX Gen 2 because I lost my original TickrX after a run off the back of my car. Well, Gen 2 sucks. When it connects, and I mean IF it connects at all, it takes at least 15 minutes of practice. Until then, HR readings are everywhere. Once connected, IF it's connected, it's just as accurate as the original TickrX. The bracelet is…

Trust the reviews. This item HUNG

The title speaks for itself. I saw the reviews but couldn't understand why they were so negative. I have had several heart rate monitors and several friends have first generation TICKR X. They all love it. I couldn't understand how a reputable company like Wahoo could make a G2 version of a solid product and mess it up so terribly. I was more than wrong. The monitor doesn't stay connected to the device you're syncing to (iPhone, iPad, Peloton, whatever). And when connected, the output is wrong.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Worst heart rate monitor I've ever had. Not accurate and not reliable.

I've been using heart rate monitors for training for 15 years - Garmin and Polar, Polar is my favourite. During COVID I received a Wahoo exercise bike and cadence tracker. So I bought this Wahoo heart rate monitor to track my heart rate and cadence in one app. I've had the monitor for about 3 months now and the accuracy and reliability of the product has absolutely declined. It connects normally and for the first month of use it seemed to work fine. But now after using it for a few months it…

Terrible White Paper

I used to use the HRM chest strap. Almost nothing works the way the documentation says it does. Syncing is always random, general usage is very vague and vague as to the specific requirements to run in normal modes that anyone running would need. For example, when you're trying to watch an offline workout (i.e. a workout recorded on device because you didn't take your phone for a run). Check out their web help page for the following: In the Wahoo Fitness app, select Sensors Select TICKR X and…

Nonsense - recurring issues and Wahoo support was useless

I was really excited to get the cadence sensor working with Zwift but it never worked properly. Immediately I noticed that my heart rate data was pretty low so I compared it to Garmin and Polar heart rate chest straps and in fact it was low around 20-30 bpm. The Bluetooth connection between Zwift and the Wahoo app on my phone keeps dropping (to control the Wahoo Headwind fan). And cadence is never reported - it shows up as a sensor and connects to Zwift, but cadence doesn't actually show up in…

Different from the original TickrX

Structure and software differ from the original. I had the original (white and faded) for about 5 years before it started having connectivity and battery issues. The original doesn't connect to the Wahoo app, it connects to third parties. Also, one of the old Wahoo apps (which showed real-time calorie consumption) no longer exists. This latest version does the same thing but weighs a little more and has a different strap shape. Online training synchronization takes up to 24 hours. Annoying, but
