Description of Walker 54647 Quiet Flow Stainless Assembly

CORROSION RESISTANT STAINLESS STEEL -- The only broad-market muffler with 100% stainless-steel construction that delivers longer life versus aluminized mufflers while an internal drainage system reduces moisture collection. EASY TO INSTALL -- Direct-fit bolt-on replacement solution with OE-style hangers, brackets and pipe routings for easy installation and doesn't require specialized fabrication and/or welding. BUILT TO LAST -- Internal partitions and mechanically joined tubes allow expansion and contraction during temperature changes to minimize distortion while spun-locked heads and OE-style spot welds provide stability and longer service life. PREMIUM ACOUSTIC CONTROL -- OE-style louvered tubes lower noise levels while OE-style domed heads help reduce radiated noise for premium factory-style sound quality compared to straight perforated tubes. DESIGN VALIDATED -- Acoustic and flow tested for quality OE-style sound you can count on.

Fits well. Poor workmanship

The muffler shop was able to fit it. Inside, a thud is heard, the result of the exhaust pipe on the driver's side hitting another metal object, presumably a splinter in the muffler. The muffler is not as quiet as the stock muffler and is a bit tinny. The sound is acceptable for the price, but the wheezing is not louder than the exhaust note and is easily noticeable.

Pros
  • DESIGN CONFIRMED -- Acoustic and flow testing for OE style sound quality you can count on
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

sounds like a Buick looks like shit

I didn't know that this is an aftermarket system that was installed on my car at a local workshop. My standard exhaust was rusted through and the workshop installed this crap. The sound is low, like I'm driving a Buick LaSabre. No sporty exhaust sound. Also, the exhaust covers are much shorter than stock by about 3 inches, making them barely visible and looking way too far under the car. i hate the look It also has a matte finish rather than the polished finish found in stock. And the pads come

Pros
  • PREMIUM ACOUSTIC CONTROL - OE style finned tubes reduce noise and OE style dome heads reduce radiated noise and provide superior factory sound quality over straight perforated tubes
Cons
  • no
