Worked well in the Kitchen & Bath category

Worked well. I've used it on my system for 6 months and haven't noticed any performance degradation (low sulfur is my typical problem with our well water). I replaced it along with the particulate filter, but it may have taken longer.

Pros
  • Kitchen & Bath
Cons
  • Difficult to say

NSF Certified 5 Micron 20 " Γ— 4.5 " Great Value

NSF Certified, no problems in the last 20 months / two sets and they get the job done for the best price I can find can. Just bought the 3rd set and usually change it every year but the mud filter is already looking pretty bad at 8 months this year. Size 20" Γ— 4.5" / 5 microns.

Pros
  • Water Filter and Softener
Cons
  • Updates Available

Worked well: Water filtration and softener

Worked well. I've used it on my system for 6 months and haven't noticed any performance degradation (low sulfur is my typical problem with our well water). I replaced it along with the particulate filter, but it may have taken longer.

Pros
  • NSF/ANSI 42 certified
Cons
  • Vanish

Filter was fine and cheaper than others, but only lasted about 15,000 gallons before it had to be replaced. The carbon filters I've had in the past have lasted about 25,000 gallons (5 to 6 months).

Pros
  • Removes chlorine, chloramine, paint, odor and other suspended solids down to 5 microns in city and drinking water
Cons
  • Not sure
