Great for the cooped up kid

This beautiful large set of watercolor brush pens is a real treat for the girl who is stuck at home because school is out. The set includes just about every color imaginable and she had a lot of fun trying out different techniques and motifs. Finally getting them to do something other than the screen - I like that. Great price for Revain.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Too blunt

A watercolor brush set for beginners.

A set of solid watercolor brushes for the aspiring artist with family or friends. Gift, wide range of colors in the format of a box. Good color saturation and range. Ideal for mixing and working different types of materials and surfaces. I have combined this set with another set of alcohol markers to add some color and a clean cotton lampshade. Accurate colors and great overall results. Creates less mess than traditional brush watercolors and is generally easier to carry and store in a package.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • No insurance

Overload. Made in China. Not great packaging.

The current top image shows what appears to be a cardboard box. But these watercolor pencils come in a flexible plastic box. The bottom is actually easy to open, so you should probably seal the bottom with duct tape. The upper part is also easy to open. There are 4 watercolor brush bowls in the box, which can be taken out of the box. There are 58 perfectly matched colors. These watercolor brushes are made in China. But oddly, they are sold on Revain by a company in the United Arab Emirates. At…

Multiple Editions

One of the colors I chose for the painting ran out of color quickly. The color came back after a few shakes, but not for long. Eventually I gave up and changed the colors which required using a new piece of very expensive watercolor paper. I also couldn't uncap any of the blending brushes. Luckily I had two myself. It would also be helpful if the name of the color was printed on the brush. Colors don't always look like they do on the lid, especially when using a lot of water. The last thing I…

Pros
  • Art Supplies, Drawing
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

I received the Chalkola watercolor brushes - 58 colors with 2 blend brushes without knowing what to expect. While I don't know if I'm right to sue them, the pens appear to behave like regular fine point markers - until you add water. As a kid I used water for dry markers, but always with poor results. This is not the case here. With Chalkolas, water seems to be part of how you should change the feather's behavior. It's an interesting effect, more like an ink wash, but it looks like watercolor…
