Pros: These brushes are really good for watercolors, I like using them and you get different sizes for a good price. They hold water well, are easy to clean and glide well over paper. Cons: One brush has split bristles due to the small plastic tube cap, I had to trim them. The handles are VERY long, that is, super-duper long, good for me, as a beginner artist, it's hard to resist.

These are. Like so-so. They work, but there are cheaper watercolor kits for beginners. My husband and I started drawing and we did this work for some time but I wasn't satisfied and bought another set which we both like now and only use. Check out my other reviews. I do not recommend this set for watercolor paints. Long-handled ones may be better suited to oil or acrylic paints.

I'm cheap so I won't pay $10 or more for a fancy brush. However, after 40 years of acrylic painting, I can definitely tell a good brush from a bad one. They are exactly the shape I want and they paint smoothly and professionally. They have a great lace and will hold up after many, many uses and washes. I've never had problems with loose bristles despite not washing them properly. I highly recommend them for acrylic work.

They arrived very quickly and securely packaged. They look like high quality round brushes and the bristles don't feel synthetic. The tips of all the brushes are precise and help me draw. The description says these are miniature brushes but for watercolor - which isn't quite the case! The brush head is a good synthetic material for watercolor paints; However, as watercolourists we use short brushes - these are long brushes used for acrylic or oil! The brushes are by no means miniature. Miniature brushes are accurately miniaturized and small, they are used to paint tiny objects and/or small details in paintings! I'm in love with these brushes. I've tried a number of different brands (Princeton, Speedball, Windsor & Newton) and these brushes feel nice in comparison. Although I've only had them for a very short time, they feel great and the spikes return immediately after I color them. I can't wait to continue painting with them and see how long they can take.
