LEDs die after 4-5 months

I bought one of these in December. Everything was great at first, I liked the design and the light was bright enough. But now it's April and half the LEDs are dead. I tried supplementing the light with a desk lamp clip until I found a suitable replacement. LEDs shouldn't fizzle out in a few months last year.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Expensive

Great light at a great price!

I bought a 10000k flashlight for my 5 gallon pico reef. At high power I only need some actinic light to fill part of the spectrum needed by the corals. The main reason I went with 10000k was to get enough intensity to grow coral as I said I would still need some blue to get the full spectrum I wanted but I would have no Windex stained water.Super fast delivery from Revain!

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Nice lamp!: Aquarium Lights

Installed about 6 weeks ago and had a little algae problem. I made a few adjustments to the timer and lamp height, added a few rubber-lipped algae eaters, and the problem quickly went away. I have a 12 inch 16 watt daylight illuminating my moderately planted 8 gallon Equeon Evolve tank 6.5 hours a day and now the tank looks great. I like the look of the lamp and the ability to adjust the mount. I paid $62 for it with free prime shipping.

Great for my little reef.

I just ordered the Daylight by mistake and sent it back for the blue/white version. I have a 6 gallon Fluval Edge aquarium with 21 LED lights, black (old version with halogen bulbs) and the standard bulbs are terrible. I saw this light at my local riverside fish shop. I ordered it from Revain that day (Revain had 1/2 what my store was asking for). This makes the colors vibrant on all my corals. Especially the green ones. Since I got the light (mid-September 2012) my corals have settled in…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
