Description of Waveshare Official Raspberry Controllable Brushless

The Raspberry Pi PoE+ HAT is a Power Over Ethernet (PoE+) accessory for the Raspberry Pi 3B+/4B. Compared to its predecessor Raspberry Pi PoE HAT, it features better cooling effect, implementing the 802.3af/at standard with 5V DC/4A larger power output, providing enough power for both Raspberry Pi 3B+/4B at max load and other peripherals at the same time. Built-in controllable brushless 25 x 25mm fan delivering 2.2 CFM for better heat dissipation. Fully isolated switched-mode power supply for better power efficiency. Providing both network connection and power supply for your Raspberry Pi in one cable.

Coil whine on startup but good PoE HAT

Good PoE HAT, RPi 4 runs stably at 2.147GHz (with optional fan and heatsink), but runs stably at 2.0GHz in a vented case , no low voltage warnings. Power User Tip: The included gaskets and HAT will clean low profile heatsinks and other components. - 2 stars for coil whine on startup and no extra pins to access 5V, 3.3V or GND.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Damaged

Poe Hat Knocks Up: Computer Components

This product worked as described - the thickness was just right when you had to push and pull the board when attaching and detaching it from the Pi. The heat of the Poe hat did not get excessively hot when turned on and runs continuously for a few days. Transparency I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but the POe hat sits nicely on the Pi and integrates nicely. My only problem was Po didn't work out of the box. Po has a specific purpose, and having to program it to do what it was designed to do…

Onboard display not working

Onboard display not working. I contacted the company and they just told me to read the wiki. The wiki has quite a few commands that are needed to make it work, but the commands don't work at all. It does not list prerequisites or troubleshooting information and uses Wirepi which has been decommissioned and no longer used. So it's a waste of money.

I love this POE hat! the best of single board computers

I bought 4 of these computers in total. They all work perfectly and I will buy more if needed. The display size is just right to show important information. Supporting all 40 pins of the GPIO connector is very useful. The fan does a great job of keeping the Pi cool, and being able to control the fan based on temperature is a good thing. Plenty of power available to run peripherals through the POE circuit.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Modernity
