🔒 WAVLINK Thunderbolt 3 SSD Enclosure - Portable External NVMe M.2 PCIe Enclosure for Single Sided Drives (Thunderbolt 3 Cable Included) Review

The case is of good quality and feels like plastic. There is an internal heatsink to cool the NVMe SSD. The housing can become very hot during data transmission. In the macOS Blackmagic hard drive test, I achieved over 2200 Mbit/s for write and read speeds on a WD SN750 1 TB NVMe SSD. However, the write speed of the 2 TB WD SN750 NVMe drops to 800 Mbit/s. Not sure if this is a macOS or Wavlink NVMe TB3 chipset issue. If you're using a 1TB NVMe SSD enclosure, this is a great enclosure.

I am completely satisfied with this case. It just worked. One piece of advice I would give is to put it on a ledge with airspace underneath. I did this with some sticky felt pads. Installed a 1TB WD Blue SN550 NVMe SSD immediately upon receipt and used the included Thunderbolt 3 cable, the speed is pretty good, it almost reached the speed of an SSD (1901/2094MB /s when writing and reading instead of SSD speed 1950/2400 MB/s).
