game changer. for sport

I have been the most passionate leatherworker all my life and circular knives scared me. I finally jumped up and am shocked by this thing. This will definitely be a game changer. I just can't stop cutting! I cut through โ…œ inch thick leather that I laminated like butter. I cut it but that's all. I'm so happy right now

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons

Robust construction and good feeling

Nice knife. Compared to the Osborne circular knives I use, the blade is a bit thicker, but not as thick as their head knives. I personally don't like how thick Osborne head knives feel. I have small hands and this knife fits my hand well and cuts well. I also like that it has a full smell - some Osborne knives have the handle wiggle when the brass bushing comes loose.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Expensive

Comes blunt, easy to sharpen

This kid came quite blunt. It had to be fueled, and fueled well. It was well wrapped in foam to protect the blade, but even that small wobble is enough to loosen the blade from a well-sharpened blade. never mind A few taps on the old belt (angle of attack about 20-25 degrees) and the thing shaved sharp. I can cut a heavy Hermann Oak 10 oz like butter. I really like this knife.

I wish I had had it sooner

How did I get along without it? Clean, easy-to-control cutting. Good thin blade with good edge retention. It is easy to maintain when you can use the belt comfortably and sharpen the ceramic sticks well. Just think of the scabbard you need to make. I just beat myself up. The photo shows how to adjust the blade; It cut me a few times and I really need to redo it. It's a bit misleading as to how high the goggles go.

game changer! at Other Sports

This knife is amazing! I've waited two years to buy a special leather knife like this, I've made up my mind whether to buy CS Osborne, Al Stoleman or this Weaver knife. Weaver not only cares about its customers, but also produces quality tools and the delivery is always very fast! This knife arrived a day early and it shaves sharply straight away! I haven't even cut it yet and it cuts through an 8-9 ounce vegetable tanned skin like butter.

  • Free for educational purposes

Wicked Sharp: Saddles and Accessories

For almost $100 I figured they could at least throw in a nice case (but there's a blueprint). And the handle of my knife is much lighter than in the photo. The tool looks old and used. But I also have to admit that I'll probably cut myself a few times on this bad boy; it is ACUTE; Exactly what I was looking for! I considered buying a cheaper tool and a skiver, but it occurred to me that one tool could do both jobs, so it justified the price. I'm going to buy one of those "knife" gloves for myโ€ฆ

absolutely stunning and razor sharp.

This instrument is a dream. Being a little more than the competition but worth every penny. I even compare its performance to my South African knife. It works just as well in almost every way. While it doesn't have the same finish and finesse, it's made in the USA and is now my favorite cutting tool in my leatherworking arsenal. It cuts straight, cuts effortlessly and is instantly sharp. Actually, I wasn't a fan of circular knives before. My previous one was boring and quickly lost itsโ€ฆ

Nice quality knife

Nice knife. I did a lot of research before buying and it was constantly being brought up on the leather forums and recommended by other leatherworkers so I bought it. It's not the cheapest head knife, but I'm glad I have it because this thing looks like it'll last a long time. dream to cut. It cuts through 9-10 ounce leather with ease and is actually very versatile in its uses, from cutting straight lines and tight curves to sanding. This is a great addition to my leather shop and definitely aโ€ฆ

Great knife - had to glue the handle $

I've updated this after a desperate first impression. After using the knife I am very satisfied. Here's my honest opinion. This knife will seriously up your skin game. You MUST respect him because he will get you if you stand in front of him. I just wish there was a little more love put into the handle. - Glue the end to the blade after a few cuts. At first glance the handle was very light wood, not the reddish brown of the picture. (It's a tool, well, but it's essential for those trying toโ€ฆ
