Weaver Leather Poly Lead Rope Review

Great products love color. I was surprised that this line was a little cheaper at my local tackle shop but the halter was worth the same price I paid here.

This is a very attractive leash which I purchased in a green/brown/black combination. It has a good "return" but unfortunately it only started to come loose on the SECOND day I used it! He wasn't kicked or hooked or anything. I think it might be badly interwoven. The fibers are woven, but obviously not very well.

Love it! High quality material, handcrafted in the USA. Love the gear, you get what you buy! I ordered green and black and the color is emerald green so it matches the halter I also ordered. Looks very strong and will stand up to a horse pulling on the leash, buy it and you will NEVER REGRET it!

Weaver make good products but this braided rope leaked almost immediately. The innards in the rope began to bulge out of the braided surface. Looks like the rope has a hernia and not nice. I am so disappointed. If the color didn't go so well with my halter I would remove that leader and use an old leader line that at least looks solid. So I can't recommend the quality.

Colors are nice, length is great, hardware is well made but very heavy. There are some sharp, uneven, melted tufts on either end that are really annoying. What surprised me the most was the feeling. not so good in the middle. Let's see how it holds up, my horse is healthy but I use a leash to tie him to a fence post as he's out in the pasture and it reminds me of those tight dog leashes I can't stand. So far it's holding up well and is easy to clean. I'll update this review after further use…

As per product description. Nice color for more modern halters. Very soft. A star was fixed in the middle of the rope due to the "cut end" of the rope, which melted so as not to wear out, and if you have to loosen it, it will start to wear out, which can wear out over time cause it to break. I bought this green and black and they were both the same. But for the price, if it lasts two years, it will be worth it.

2 stars for color (storm blue) and nice hardware. Unfortunately, when I unrolled the product upon delivery, the fibers started snagging and bulging. The weave feels nice and loose in the hand, but it's deceptive because once the cord is taut it becomes very slippery and tight, like plastic tubing. I used it once to get my horse out of the box and immediately tied it in a knot to avoid burning my hand. I returned the item because of the cotton cord.

This is a very good leash with reinforced fittings. My daughter has already used it and it works as it should and she loves that the leash has nice colors. If this is your preference (like ours) you will need to tie the end when you receive it. I deducted a star because it seemed a bit too bright. Maybe because it's poly, but the actual rope part feels like it needs to be sturdier. I might have to buy a different material next time. We are very happy with the purchase although we think it's a…
