🧵 Weaver Leather Affordable Poly Lead Rope Review

I bought this for my pony, it is a very good rope and the metal clamp is also very strong! It's been a month now and not a single part has burned out or anything like that :)

I bought these to use as leashes for our 1 year old German Shepherd. They are a good length and soft but the diameter of the rope is a bit small and a dog will make it painful on your hands if you don't wear gloves. I couldn't imagine using them as a leash unless the horse is well trained.

I love the color of this product and it looks like it should be a decent lead rope. It's nylon though, so it slips off when I tie it in the shed. My horse has learned that it can pull and slide, which gives it more freedom of movement. Luckily he's a bit lazy and doesn't spin fast. I would not recommend this if you are tying your horse to a post. This is fine for cross sleepers, but not for tying.

I love this lead rope! The color is exactly the bright red I was looking for and it seems quite strong. The material is very soft, takes some getting used to, but I like it. I paired it with a Tough 1 Economy halter and the colors match perfectly! The only difference is that the buckle and hardware on the leash is gold and the halter is silver but I really don't see that as a problem as otherwise they are a perfect match for the price. I am very happy with this purchase and the price!

This policy is only used once a week. Take the horse from the field to the stable, then return to the field when you're done. We started using it after Christmas and after the second use the weave loosened and large loops appeared.
