After assembling I was very disappointed. It was advertised as 6.3 inches and we have 6.5 inches under the bed. However, due to the zipper, it measures 6.75 in some places. Looking at it, I'm not sure we would have kept it. It's only about 4 deep. I understand that wheels take up space, but there has to be a better way not to lose that space. This was exactly what I was looking for - shoes fit sideways and are finally protected from dust! I have a metal frame queen bed and they fit right under and there really isn't any space left - also my bed has a center brace which I hadn't thought of but they fit exactly either side as they were measured to fit they all fill available space. These under bed storage boxes are fantastic! Wheels make it easy to use. A see-through top also makes it easy to see where things are. Mom uses one for her off-season sweaters, but Dad uses it to store DVDs. They are really versatile and save a lot of space. The assembly was very easy. I like that there are no unnecessary details!
