I originally bought this for a purpose and it was to personalize a photo frame. I found the perfect frame to gift but wanted it to be more personal. So after looking at it, this is what I got. The picture frame was wood and I was afraid to practice on it because I didn't want to ruin it. So I used it on my kids Melissa and Doug's wooden toys and started practicing their names. Works very well. I tested it with a steel hammer on level 1 and it worked great. Easy to attach a pen. Very ergonomic and light. It's as easy as holding a pen to write. Doesn't get hot but quite noisy even at minimum power of 1. I recommend using earplugs. I wish it came with a storage pouch as this is a tool I will probably only use 2-4 times a year.
