I'm alternating between using this popper and an air popper. It's not very healthy to eat buttered popcorn all the time, but it sure is delicious! It's amazing how quickly and completely the corn pops with this thing. My only complaint is that you have to take it apart to clean it, and the dome has that pesky detachable part. Definitely not as easy to use as an air popper but worth the extra effort for family movie nights. I suggest adding coconut oil and sprinkling with Orville Redenbacher oil

Not the easiest block to maintain. Oil and dirt get stuck in the small seal where the device allows the "bowl" or "lid" to close/shrink. It's almost impossible to get anything in there to clean it. I've had 3 or 4 of these poppers over the years. They quickly make very tasty popcorn. Ease of cleaning depends a lot on what model they currently produce. On older models, the thermal plate was removable for easier cleaning. The latter has been assembled to make it more difficult to clean. This review may seem negative but despite some minor complaints I think this is the best popper you can find. It's an update of the original Stir Crazy that we got used to for years until the lid broke. Stir Crazy was the only popper that popped every grain and melted and spread the butter well. This version looks like an upgrade as it has extra vents in the oil well (always wanted butter to melt faster) but it also has extra slots on the outside of the oil well to allow steam to escape too…
