Terrible quality, wasted money.

I contacted aliexpress technical support. First, they sent to the now defunct WD representative office in 2022 for warranty repair / replacement. The next time they sent it to a commercial workshop for repair at their own expense, the repair costs more than the disk itself. The disc was made in Thailand in October 2022. I think they sell old inventory of such discs. In the event of a malfunction, as in mine, the buyer can simply throw this disk away.

Cons
  • Signs of a malfunction began to appear almost immediately. Mechanical clicks when turning on / off and when accessing the disk. Surface tests pass, presumably for the time being.

Not found. Has pros: It works right out of the box! (LOL) No extra steps required. Except, of course, the primary markup and partitioning. Some cons: In the process, as many as three launches were not detected, because Bought as a large inexpensive flash drive to hide in a case.

Second-rate goods, I won't buy any more.

Judging by the reviews, the quality of hard drives has fallen, so I decided to buy media from a reliable manufacturer. I installed it in my laptop and loaded it with 90% information. He noted that despite the negative reviews, it works quite quietly, there were no loud extraneous noises and vibrations. But the next day, when trying to access the hard drive, he began to make metallic clicks and then turned off. The same thing happens when you try to format using Windows and third-party programs.

A good product, more pros than cons.

For those who decide to stay on this model, useful information: Initially, when installed on a computer, only 500 MB can be detected. I don't know why they did this, but there may be one or two pre-installed partitions on the disk with some "technical" folders and files. The rest of the space is simply not marked. I bought 2 of these and stuck them in my personal server (it stands in the room on the windowsill). Now in my cloud there are 4 disks - 2 mirrors (raid1) of 1T each.
