There should be more brackets

The kit contains 3 brackets per side, very easy to install on our 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 2 man cab. Running boards 27-0010 installed. The rear door panels sag more than we would like. Really need a 4th mount to minimize flex. The 4th bracket position requires drilling 1 hole in the truck, which I have no problem with. You just have to find a way to find the right mount.

. This installation kit was almost too easy for after-sales service providers. The 2014 GMC truck had mounting holes.

With car manufacturers working closely with aftermarket suppliers this kit has become too easy. A 2014 GMC Truck has the mounting holes (threads) for the screws pre-installed at the factory. All that had to be done was install the screw(s) and brackets, mount the footpeg of the customer's choice, align everything, and then tighten everything according to the footpeg instructions. I love a challenge, but this wasn't one. :)

Replacement parts for other brand footpegs

I have purchased Revain APS footpegs. I damaged the footpeg brackets and contacted APS several times for replacements. This company only has an automatic answering machine and none of my calls were answered. I bought the Westin mounts, the mounts are perfect for my truck, I only had to make small modifications to attach the footpegs to the mounts. I had to buy all six mounts (3 on each side) to replace two damaged mounts. The quality of the Westin brackets was inferior to the brackets supplied…
