blunt switch good for lamps and ceiling fans

for the price its not that bad. while in its design hasn't thought much either. Most confusing is the fact that the switch is literally a foot from the plug. I don't know why they took the time to install the switch because if I get under a piece of furniture to operate the switch I should be able to turn it off :-(

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • long wait

The built-in switch is too close to the plug.

If you look at the picture, you can see that the built-in switch is just a few inches from the plug. I didn't notice that when I bought it. If your plug is behind furniture, that's a big problem. Even if it doesn't, you'll have to reach almost to the floor to turn it on or off. Also, the lampshade doesn't cover the bulb enough, and I couldn't bend it far enough that the bulb wasn't visible.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Nice but the switch is in the wrong place

Good quality light and looks good on my old painting. However, it was only after installation that we realized that the switch was on the wrong end of the cable! It's a few inches from the plug when it should be larger and actually accessible. The painting hangs above the buffet in the dining room. In order to access this and turn the light on and off, we had to add a Christmas tree footswitch on the floor. It also didn't come with a remote control, but there is a space for a remote control in…

  • Finally bought

No LED fan. This is a beautiful and affordable device.

These lights can be very expensive, but not only is this affordable, it looks good and works well. I didn't want cold LED lighting so this option was exactly what I was looking for. It comes with a lightbulb. I keep it all the time! It hardly emits heat and brass gets hot, but you can touch it. I was concerned that the bulb would be visible. I'm not tall and that's not a problem from my point of view. The switch is next to the outlet but it works perfectly as I fixed it on the coffee table…

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Built-in switch needs repositioning

Nice lamp and easy to install, but I agree with other reviewers on two key points: 1) The built-in switch is too close to the outlet eh turning lights on and off more difficult when the outlet is behind furniture or when the outlet is low to the floor, as you have to bend down to turn them on or off each time. The built-in switch should be positioned higher on the cable (but not too high or it will be outside the picture frame). 2) The brass lampshade exposes the part of the bulb that hurts…

Pros
  • Built-in switch, 15w bulb included
Cons
  • Zero

Decent but not the best in the lighting and ceiling fans category

I was given this light fixture for a large, very old painting that I inherited and which I am displaying correctly wanted to. Light is fine at best. I didn't like that the light was so bright and visible when looking straight ahead when installed like this. They had to lower the front brass cover lower as they don't want the light to shine outward and away from the painting, it just blinds people and looks bad. So I had to tilt it and bend it the wrong way to fix it. As a result, it's not even…

Pros
  • UL listed
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok

I frigging faked it πŸ˜’

I like this concept but it doesn't work on all frames. I got this to work and my frame cracked as a result, but that's on the back of the frame. I bet Thomas Kinkade is rolling in his grave! I was only able to use one screw to attach this to the picture frame. Using a large kink (a bracket that attaches to the picture frame) I got the perfect angle for the light to hit the picture. When a picture is hung it looks like a winner. The subject itself seems weak AF, but put together it looks great…

Pros
  • Plugin, Pan Adjustment
Cons
  • Reliability
