Great fan for the price. There was a chip on one blade that I was able to easily smudge with paint. Above all, it buzzes when you first turn it on. But it's not noisy when the fan is running. I added a chandelier kit and it was very easy.

The fan stopped. The relationship with my girlfriend, who accidentally installed this fan at home, did not work out. So I'll never know if a fan's life will outlive my love for her. But hey, it was only about $40. I spent more on gas to get my things out of her house.

Attractive and affordable. Double-edged blades look great upside down with the "wooden" side down. Flush mounting helps in a room with an 8 foot ceiling. The previous fan was on a rack with 5 ugly jagged glass headlights. Ugly and obnoxious! Great replacement.

Flush mount and very quiet operation. We also purchased a recommended Westinghouse control switch. We were disappointed that the spine of the blade was not whitewashed as described, but was actually covered in a brown wood texture (see photo). This matches the picture on the box but not the listing online. Still looks ok. Seems otherwise great value for money.

I chose this fan because only 'modern' models were available at local hardware stores. I wanted the device to be unobtrusive and fit the style I already had. This fan meets all requirements. It went pretty easily and we only had trouble with the tiny screws. If you're looking for a high-end fan this isn't for you; However, if you are looking for a simple and good looking model, then this is for you.

After a renovation that restricted access to HVAC ducts, my two biggest needs were airflow and energy efficiency. The fan should force air into a long, narrow space. and it must be on for at least 12 to 14 hours a day. The balance between the CFM rating (cubic feet of air moved per minute) and Energy Star rating for this fan was good, and that's one of the reasons I chose it. The fan met all my expectations. It circulates warmer air and cooler air into the room, making it much more comfortable.
