    Good fan but bad control switches.

    Bought 4 pieces for my shop. While the fans are good, the switches that came with this fan are cheap quality and broke on day one. I'm trying to figure out how to fix this. Very dissatisfied with the switches. The plastic ripped right after installation. Therefore, the only way to stop or start the fan is to take a ladder and hit the kill button at the base of the fan, which is not the best solution. Not being able to control the fan speed and not being able to turn it on or off due to a broken

    Spend little, get little

    When they say industrial they don't mean heavy duty or anything but spartan and rather flimsy looking. On the other hand, it's worth the little money I paid for it because it works well as long as I keep it on high settings. It's reversible, so you can use it to suck the air out of your room if you're using it in an industrial or outdoor environment. Sounds like a chopper so don't use it at home. There was junk in the spool, do it better -- also, lower speeds don't move enough air to make it…

    Pretty good fan for the money

    Installation was easy and works great. As others have pointed out, the wall-mounted speed controller looks like something from the Cold War, so I replaced it with a Lutron three-stage controller (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000BYEFA/ref= oh_details_o01_s00_i00? ie=UTF8&psc=1). I keep it at medium speed because low speed is very slow and high speed is a bit distracting. Doesn't seem to be a way to reverse the fan. One note: it was difficult to balance using traditional wooden blade…

    This fan blows. And that's good!

    This fan looks great in my pole build. Moves a decent amount of air at high speed, which brings me to my only 2 complaints about this product: 1 - The fan wobbles a bit. I checked the spirit level, braced the beam it was mounted on and tried adding light weights to see if I could balance it, but to no avail. It's in the garage and shakes a bit so I don't care, but if you put it in your house it might bother you (assuming yours shakes too). a nice bonus, but it's really pretty crappy and…
