I don't think this machine is good enough for the job. The protective coating is ok, but the pasta cutter attachment is terrible. They just don't cut the noodles into individual pieces. It is missing a flat piece of metal that acts as a nut/washer that connects the power to the pasta maker, but I ended up getting what I wanted. consider a better solution than they would suggest. Bought a small wing nut and washer for the included screw which I attached to the bottom of the pasta maker. The wing washer is necessary because the screw attaches through a relatively large diameter hole. Found gear at Lowes in specialty gear cases for about $2. The company's solution required a tool

Very easy to use, you just have to get used to it. I've never used anything like this before, so it took me a few tries to get the hang of it. Now I'm a child prodigy! I love making my own pasta! I don't even try to use the clamp to secure it to my counter/table as I use more, now that I've done the procedure it's just not necessary.
