This brush detangles hair very well, the bristles are stiff and the pad is flexible. If you have a sensitive scalp you may not like this brush as it is not difficult to pierce the scalp at the beginning of the stroke with the bristles, but the pad flexes very easily with vigorous brushing which makes the brush feel softer. I've only heard good things about the Wet Brush. So when I was looking for a new comb for my travel bag I thought I'd give it a try. Handles tangles well but I don't think it's any different from other regular combs. If it was, say, $5 more than a regular brush I could find elsewhere, I would have no incentive to spend the extra $5. The one I received is a real wet brush (not fake/fake) as some reviews say.
