Works for video, USB unknown.

It works well for video, generally pleased with the quality. It only drives one monitor type at a time, but that still works for me. The only problem I have is that the USB port doesn't work - never really. I have a Lenovo T480 and it's my only system with USB-C so I can't test it elsewhere. I don't really have to, but if this is a requirement for you, please be aware.

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Good for the most part, but...

USB and USB-C slots not working.

Although the VGA adapter works fine with my external monitor, neither the USB ports nor the USB-C ports work. I bought it to use an external monitor and wireless mouse with my laptop (2018 Macbook Pro) at the same time, but since the two slots don't work, I'd be better off just getting a basic USB-C to VGA adapter . I don't know if HDMI works, haven't been able to test it yet. Overall not worth the money.

Don't give it unless it's plug and play

Great inexpensive key. Best used with a USB 3 port. The tech support doesn't have the best knowledge of English, so I'll help them. If yours is not "plug and play" Open your computer window > open the key disk > double click on the driver file to install. The installation wizard will guide you through the entire process. Once downloaded, unplug the dongle and restart your computer > plug the dongle back into your USB drive 3 > adjust the screen in "Display Settings". Works great…

Works as advertised

Works as advertised. Use it with a laptop that's fairly thin and doesn't have VGA or DVI inputs but does have a USB-C input. Connected the monitor via DVI cable and was now able to use the second monitor. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it would be ideal if I could use DVI and VGA at the same time. You can use multiple inputs with this setup, you just can't use the ones I have. I wish I could give 4.5 stars.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Good second monitor in computer cable adapters

I bought this to add a second monitor to a new Acer laptop where the previous laptop had two video outs. It worked, but only after I found alternative Windows drivers for Windows 10. The driver delivered via Windows update did not work. However, I used the USB description codes to find the USB chipset manufacturer and they have a driver for Windows 10. After installing this driver, the display appeared immediately and was usable. I only used the VGA out, but the HDMI adapter shows up (I can see

Universal Adapter - Computer Accessories & Peripherals

This is a pretty cool little adapter. There are so many different devices with different plug types. We have a large basket that we keep in the TV stand with a bunch of different cables with different types of plugs. Adapting from our USB-C device like Droid devices to VGA, standard USB and HDMI, this device has a compact body.

Pros
  • While Satisfied
Cons
  • Disappears

Not all ports appear to be well designed/finished.

This is important if you have a Mac so advanced it lacks the most useful outlets. (sigh). However, the model I received does not securely hold flash drives and the connection often drops, requiring careful use of the connector (do not move during use). The rest is OK. The price is about what you would expect for an Apple product, maybe a little less.

  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Replacement Availability

Works well.: Computer cable adapter

Works very well with VGA connection. It looks weird when I try to charge my Samsung Note 10+ with the factory charger, but I think it's a problem with the PPS protocol that the charger/phone uses (PPS can vary the power consumption depending on the phone's needs .Something about no exploding phones want.). This problem occurs with other adapters I've played with, so this adapter seems to be working as expected. My job is to use a portable charger.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
