I'm 5'10", size 16 US and these skirts are comfortable for me with no gaps. The hem of the skirt falls about 1" above my ankles, haven't tried it myself tie each of them into a dress. If you are well over $16 I would order a plus size as there will likely be a visible gap between the edges of that particular skirt. Other than that I really love these skirts!
