Works as intended; but exceeds expectations

I've searched everywhere and tried different styles of check valves. This works great on my boat for my drain pipes that drain water off the deck through the hull fittings 18 inches below the waterline. I was afraid they wouldn't take the back pressure, but the deck stayed dry.

Stops backwashing parts

Inline check valve works as promised! I have used it in my boat's sump pump and it prevents backwashing and allows pumped water to exit the boat when needed. This can be a problem in my setup as the external outlet line is above the level of the sump. I am satisfied and will buy another valve if necessary. It does what it's supposed to and isn't too big for most setups.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • No performance

Replacement Marine Shower Sump Pump Check Valve

First of all. Used in combination with the Seaflo drain pump/shower box. The original control "device" with the shower tray was a thin piece of rubber that acted as a damper and failed after 2 years of minimal use. With a short piece of flexible tubing and o-rings, this check valve works great. Looks solid, but cannot be disassembled for testing, so there are no spare parts. I still intend to pinch and drain the line when winterizing with water system antifreeze to ensure the return water…

Pros
  • Easy To Read Control Panel
Cons
  • Blank

Big design flaws. Avoid!

I made the mistake of buying this part with a Whale brand bilge pump that keeps burping and wants to pump the same standing water over and over again. Whale recommended this part in the owner's manual for a specific bilge pump that I own. Unfortunately, this part can't be the worst design for a check valve. First, the design consists of 3 triangular valves that push against the walls when water is flowing and try to close when the water stops flowing. I say "try" because even if the water isn't
