I have all sorts of cheaper bits for MDF or less critical applications, but when I have to work with valuable wood, the white side. holds the advantage better than amana, better than kyocera, better than freud. simply the best of the best.
Okay I broke a bit but it was my fault. Tip: Turn on the router before running G-code. After learning this simple trick, these blades were my last and last. I wish Whiteside would focus more on helping people with feed rate calculations and all that stuff on their website like Freud does.
These are the quality Carbide Bits that you can get from Whiteside. Definitely a step up from your typical Ebay/China bits. I've used this bit in about 8 projects since I got it, mostly for roughing 3D tree toolpaths. So far I haven't noticed any sign of haze under the gun. I am impressed. I'm used to $100 industrial grade end mills and wouldn't hesitate to use them on steel.
