This router bit turned easily on my heavy duty router and when cutting in 1/8" increments the wood uncurled in thin ribbons and required little to no sanding. A great addition to any carpenter who needs a big bit for big ledges.
1807 3/4" shoulder - a phenomenal cutter from an excellent tool maker. And clean cuts make for better project results. As a hobby woodworker, I understand there are many other less expensive options. However I've learned "Buy once, buy right” – that's different from thinking about a cent. The application of this principle calms me down, as does Whiteside.
I wish all my bits were Whiteside but it's a common mix of brands. In my opinion, whiteside beats are as good as they get. I haven't bought anything else since I was born 12-15 years ago. They are easy to use and stay sharp for a long time. They're by no means the cheapest, but they're a great example of what you're paying for. Plus, they're made in the USA.
