Just started using router and router table. The first project went well with this beat. Used on a 1x6 pine board. Did a few practice swings with a crowbar. Once I did that, the finished product came out fine.
I've bought several other tools to fix drawers and cabinet doors. I wanted a simple look but the other pieces carved a profile into the face and didn't like the feel of the piece being pulled with a finger. I found this bit and decided to give it a try based on other reviews. It was exactly what I was looking for. It cuts great, especially on end grain, and gives a nice, simple, clean profile on the face (1/4 round) and is very comfortable to pull with your fingers. I am very happy with thisβ¦
This cutter was ideal for making 1x5 window sills. You'll need to carefully adjust the height so that it covers 3/4 inch of the board's thickness, but this will work. It arrived quickly and was securely packaged. You will need a router table with railings and perforated boards to hold the board against the table top and railing. I also found I had to make long inlet and outlet extensions for my router. Table when cutting the edge of 8ft boards, otherwise the boards would detach from the cutterβ¦
