I made dovetail drawer joints from Baltic birch plywood sides. My previous racket was enough for a box. The Whiteside Bat is done (16 more boxes) and still cutting straight.

I bought these bits purely based on past experience. A few years ago I bought a set of matching Whiteside Raised Panels and ran them through hundreds of feet of oak and walnut planks and they worked flawlessly! The carbide stays sharp and offers excellent cutting performance. I figured if these cutters work too, then the dovetail cutter would be just as good. Buy Whiteside and you won't be disappointed!

What can I say, another great bit from my transition to a bit brand. There are cheaper vinyl cutters than Whiteside, but you get what you pay for. I make a lot of closet drawer dovetail joints and always have at least a pair on hand. Anyone who has worked a lot of Baltic birch knows how tough it can be on cutting machines and how easily it burns with a dull blade, meaning your glue won't be absorbed well and your bond will weaken.
