Works very well good for hauling food and winches

I installed my shaft upside down, if you install as directed the weight of the trailer tongue will be carried by this unit. If installed upside down, the device will cause the clutch to fall into its natural position. The downside is that there is no space between the hitch and the bumper to fit both nuts. No loosening issues so far and it has made my hitch completely silent which I like more than words can describe.

Basic but works well

I'm tired of the drawbar rattling every time we hit a bump in the road or cross a bridge crossing. Decided to get this so our drawbar wouldn't make a popping noise every time it moves up and down (due to the required tolerances needed for the drawbar to fit the receiver). Put it on, tighten it, and now the tongue and receiver are one piece with no wiggle room to make noise. Well done.

Works well with clutches

This is a useful product at a good price. However, I should also note that it will NOT work with the factory receiver hitch on my 2016 F-150 and the Fastway e2 weight distribution hitch. The hitch has a gusset on the drawbar that prevents the folded edge of the tensioner from resting on the square main tube of the drawbar as intended, and when inverted for use the U-bolt threads meet the F-150. Bumper. I've grounded the 1/2" slit in the center of the hem to get it working properly. I'm sure…

Smart design, easy to install and remove

The clutch tensioner is about 3/8" steel and is heavier/better quality than I expected. It's easy to install and remove. The other is a slot that indicates the people who designed it know how to make something easy and quick to install. It's frustrating to work with something where when the u-bolt wears out and bends have difficulty matching the two holes. The lip of the tensioner mates with the clutch insert and the flat side with the retainer, virtually eliminating vertical movement between the

Not the easiest install but gets the job done.

Bought for use with fold down luggage racks on my Ford Excursion. I installed it upside down as per the instructions as I didn't want to create leverage when the post was lifted from the bottom of the receiver. It stopped traffic and rattling, but with the 5' x 2' rack, it was difficult to get between it and the trucks for installation. Overall I recommend it if you don't plan on putting it on and off every day. Used it to travel from Long Island, NY to southern Maryland, and even on NYC's…

This is to buy! Ideal!

Works great. Incredible build quality. Don't waste your money on another brand. Stainless steel U-bolts and high-quality nuts. It's built to last. The unique lock washers are really grippy but can ruin the job within a few install/removal cycles. For those who say they loosen up over time or won't stop bouncing up and down, they may not have installed them properly. You need to make sure it is installed so that it pulls the hitch to the base of the receiver. After installation, turn the nuts in

Looks high quality but not quite what it says in the description.

Haven't used this yet and won't be using it for at least a month, but I'd like to share my first impressions now - plus some info that might interest potential buyers. I will update my review when I use it if necessary. First, in my experience, the U-bracket SHOULD be stainless steel. It attracts a magnet, so if it's SS, it's ferritic SS. Other types of SS aren't magnetic, so this test isn't definitive, but as I said, it looks like SS. The U-Bolt is NOT powder coated as mentioned in the…
