I want to love it but I can't

I want to love this product but it has a few small features that make it annoying and cumbersome to use. 1) It must be connected to a power source to function. And the cable is super short. So I need to attach an extension to even consider using it. 2) The mobile app suffers or lacks when it comes to connectivity. In one attempt I had to click connect 10 times before it was successful. In the end it did and worked fine, but by then I had forgotten about it.

It just shows the setup screen

It just shows the setup screen. I've tried setting it up from both my Android phone and connecting from my laptop and neither works. There are very few instructions in the included setup guide, and the app that's offered to set it up is a POS with lots of ads. Turns out you can stream movies to a projector simply by plugging the Roku into the back. I've wasted a lot of time and frustration not thinking about what we already have. Could be great but doesn't seem to be working properly.

I really wanted this to work because I hate watching school lectures on a small laptop screen. It almost works, but the sound rises and falls, and the image disappears from time to time. Installation is easy and everything fits and works. I don't know if I received a defective model, but I tried it on two different TVs and the result was the same on both. The key also gets very hot. The key had problems with my TV, internet connection problems, got hot when not in use - came back.

I was able to set up this dongle on my last TV and the sound and picture went to the TV - the picture wasn't super clear. The instructions are a bit confusing, but I managed. I have a new TV and for some reason I can't connect the dongle to my own network when my phone is connected to it. I can play all my own cellphone videos or games on the big screen, but nothing from the internet at the moment. I have noticed that it gets hot even when not in use. Works, but works clunky and constantly uses the MacBook's WiFi connection

The documentation is complicated. The recommended iPhone app didn't seem to do anything useful at all. What worked (too well) was plugging the dongle into the TV's HDMI port, connecting to its WiFi (according to the information displayed), and using a web browser to connect (via its WiFi and built-in web server ). Once configured, it works great

This wireless video adapter is easy to use yet durable. It's wireless only and you can't "connect" to it, so you'll need to set up a wireless display. What I like is that it can work on multiple platforms and is not limited to iOS. What I don't like is that the setup is a bit confusing and frustrating at times. If you're planning on setting it up and installing it for a long time, it's worth it. But if you plan to install it in a hotel conference room every week, it is very difficult…
