Disappointed with these ice molds. The molds don't mold the design on the outside of the Death Star very well. Once you break them up, they're no different than a regular ice cream ball. There are better versions on the market. Don't buy this one.

As the ice freezes and expands it is pushed, separating and creating an oval shape with additional ice forming around where it broke off. Also, the Death Star features aren't carved too deeply into the mold, so they don't show up on the ice as well as I was hoping.

I've used them several times since I bought them. My biggest problem is that every time I pop the Death Star Ice Ball out of the mold, it doesn't come out. Don't know if there is a solution for this or not. I resorted to using a spoon to remove the mold from the ice. Not as happy with this purchase as I thought.

I'm not sure if my freezer is set too cold, but when my ice cream freezes, it turns cloudy so you can't see detail in the Death Stars. Some of the problems I'm trying to solve is finding the right amount of water to add so that when the ice expands, it doesn't first close the hole in the top where you add water and expand the silicone that holds the halves separates. It might also freeze if I try deionized water or a slower freezing process, but I'm not sure.

In theory this is a fun product. Poorly executed. The detail on the mold is so flat that when it enters the liquid it becomes nothing more than a sphere with a dent in it. I didn't really expect the detail of ANY ice shape to last long after it got wet, but the detail disappears immediately. Sometimes when it freezes, the top part breaks off the bottom, water runs out and I have to rip it off the freezer shelf. This can be fixed by not overcrowding it, but it's hard to see how crowded it is. A…

The item was purchased on 08/12/19. It has been used sparingly since Christmas this year. It stopped working, started making a new and very loud buzz, and smelled like burnt electronics. We put the manufacturer number in the manual, we were told we bought it from a third party and had to go through that. We have sent the seller a message and have not yet received a reply. Don't buy this product, it's prone to crashes and the product support is terrible. Absolutely avoid.
