Either these shorts really don't fit true to size, or they're sewn very incorrectly, but the seam isn't midline- it's off to a side, which causes a lot of ride up.

I took this with me for a trip and it withstood several beach days in the ocean. Sometimes other bathing suits will stretch too much in the water, but not this one! Plus I love the little seahorse decoration and since it's black I can pair it with any swim top and I don't have to worry about awkward tan lines showing.

So many boy short swim bottoms are "cheeky" but these hug you a bit more, so nothing is hanging out the back, so to speak. I'm kind of between sizes-- sometimes a 10, sometimes 12, and the L fits perfectly. And they're not just a thin layer of spandex. The fabric feels thicker than that. I like them!

They fit true to size and are comfortable. These would be perfect for wearing in a pool. HOWEVER, IF YOU’RE GOING TO THE BEACH OR SOMEWHERE ELSE WITH SAND, I DO NOT SUGGEST THESE.These shorts have two layers of fabric. The inside layer is thin and has tiny holes (similar to the kind when pantyhose are stretched out). These tiny holes are just big enough that wet sand gets trapped between the two fabric layers. I wanted to love these. They are thick and have great coverage and fit as expected size-wise. Unfortunately, there is a large seam in the middle of the crotch area (right where you would NOT want a seam) that make them very uncomfortable. I could even feel it through my underwear that I kept on to try them on.If the seam was smaller or in a slightly different area, I would have kept these and given 5 stars as full cheek coverage is hard to find.

I really do wish that china could get the American women's sizes more accurate. One I ordered in black and it was way to big and it was exactly the size the site said I would be.The other I ordered in the blue was way too small. I have pretty much given up on finding the perfect size. Take your chances.
