Finally a high quality thick leather belt that women can wear! Before I bought this belt I thought I was too picky about the skinny belts that are available in most women's departments. After that belt, I realized that women will be scammed until we choose not to. Excellent quality, doesn't feel too bulky but thick and durable. Ideal for everyday use.

The leather was much softer and felt more worn than any other belt. I've always bought similar Carharts but decided to try this one. I'm glad I did. The buckle is solid brass, not other brand's brass. The only negative I can point out is that the edge isn't as smooth or dark as another brand. If you're picky about this this might be an issue, but not for me. The sizes matched their instructions, color and finish. Very satisfied and will buy again.

As someone else wrote, this is a good belt but it smells awful. I put it in a container with the baking soda, hopefully it will get better in a few days. If not I can return it. I love the smell of natural leather, it's not. I'm guessing it's either tannins (which I've smelled before, it's not) or the belt is made up of a few layers and it's the glue that holds the layers together. I have a brown belt, maybe that's just her. Beware!

I wanted to buy my wife a functional belt for emergencies. She doesn't usually wear a belt. However, she loves butterflies. I wanted to give her something to attach a bag or knife to if needed. It's made of good, but not great, leather. I'm concerned that the way the butterflies are embossed onto the leather might loosen it a bit.
