4 stars only because the wooden sticks that go into the holes are a bit loose and requires quite a bit of repairing to get the small blocks in and out smoothly. Plus it's such a great toy and my 16 month old son loves it.

Nothing missing or chipped. All edges and surfaces are smooth. Nothing was broken at reception. All parts are simply plugged onto the corresponding pins. daughter loves these. Helps to learn; They are good for quantity (holes), for shapes and for colors.

At 12 months he loves to fold and sort. And this toy will become his favorite around 14 months. He plays it every day. One thing worries me a bit when all the pieces are taken out, the wooden shelf can be harmful if accidentally fall on it. So I keep pushing him out of the way when he gets up and walks around.

Great fun for our son. We wanted something that would engage him when we didn't want to engage him with technology. Please note that he is almost 3 years old but is not the type of kid who usually eats small things. He likes it and sometimes he needs help. But colorful, it introduces children to shapes and numbers thanks to the many holes in each piece of wood.

This is a well made wooden toy that comes in 5 different shapes. Each figure has a hole (pin) corresponding to the side number of that figure. I bought this for my 3 year old granddaughter and she has learned the name of each shape and can count the holes. She likes to throw them all away and put them back together to see how quickly she can put them back together. Even her 6-year-old brother likes it. A fun little toy, it's quiet and doesn't take up much space, so you can't ask for more.
