I prefer wooden sticks, but many of them break too easily. When I first bought them, I bought this brand and two others. This brand was the best of the three tested, but it still had around 20% bounce rates. Now they improved them and they are MUCH thicker than before. It's like the difference between a branch and a toothpick. Very impressed with the new and improved. Some still break and I think you'll always get this with wood, but I think breakage is less than 5%.

My husband is very happy.

My husband has constantly complained about paper cotton swabs. He is very happy with these wooden ones. There are no complaints about him yet.

Wooden swabs are generally better

For years I have preferred wooden swabs to paper buds. They do cost a bit more, but in my opinion they are worth it. Ordinary paper cotton swabs bend too easily. Paper sticks are also more susceptible to moisture in terms of stability/flexing. I feel like I have more control over them overall. I will take a break now and then, but not always, otherwise I wouldn't continue using this brand. A lot depends on how much pressure you apply. I have been using this brand of cotton swabs for both…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for seniors

One Star & Splitters

Sticks are brittle and splinter. Small pieces of pile are woven into cotton lace. I'm sure they come in handy for cleaning anything but your body or applying makeup.

Pros
  • I'm crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Can hurt

We love her! best in cotton swabs

We have been buying these for many years. We are spoiled and when we ran out of wooden sticks we bought paper sticks, she made me order more wooden sticks the next day. yes, we put them in our ears!

Pros
  • Useful not just for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Hard to tell

IMPORTANT IN CASE OF BREAKAGE?

Made in China, everything broken. The last thing you want to do is put it in a child's (or pet's) ear and NEVER EXTEND IT DEEPLY, INCLUDING ANIMALS, WALK OVER THE AREA CAREFULLY BUT THESE ABOVE WILL BREAK. Then it's a trip to the emergency room! Believe me, you don't need cheap stuff like that from China! Puritan cotton-tipped wood applicators from the USA. Make sure it's medical grade, it says Sterile/Medical, but buy Puritan made in the USA.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Discontinued model

Insufficient Strength

I was hoping that this product would be a reliable replacement for plastic tampons. This product was a huge disappointment as tampons tend to break and lack durability. The wood is slightly better than the thickness of a regular toothpick. I will definitely look for other more durable products for my next purchase.

Pros
  • Very Good Price
Cons
  • Easy Maintenance

Break too easily - cotton balls and swabs

I threw the product away, I didn't want to hear wood cracking in my ear. I've never hurt myself, but eventually it will happen. Unsure, go back to the original Q-Tip.

Pros
  • Hands-free
Cons
  • There are defects

Bargain Cotton Buds

Great if you want to use less plastic in your home. Of course, they won't bend, and be aware that they can take less pressure than plastic and can snap in the ear canal if you're too rough. But I think the class shouldn't be hard when you're sticking something in your ears.

Pros
  • Holding My Fists
Cons
  • Unbelievable Price
