Great buy for people trying to reduce household waste

I used these to make potholders when I was a Girl Scout. Now, as an adult, I use them to make potholders out of old or worn-out clothing (like socks and t-shirts). This is a great way to use crafts that can't be donated and saves me from buying a new one. The loom arrived quickly, in excellent condition and works exactly as it should. Would recommend to anyone looking to get creative with their zero waste life.

The hinges slip off every time - can't be used.

I ordered this heavy duty metal loom for my 8 year old son after his plastic loom broke in his backpack. Despite being metal and very strong, he has stopped making potholders out of frustration as every time he finishes tying (on the last row) the stitches slip off. I tried readjusting the prongs to prevent this from happening. However, nothing seems to stop them from bursting. So we will return to less durable plastic machines. I have no idea how to get this loom to work.

New Old Fun

I ordered this metal potholder loom because I thought it could be used for more than just a potholder or trivet. It is very similar to many 7" x 7" size handy needle looms on the market. I started out hand weaving using a large so-called circular loom, but felt overwhelmed trying to cope with the size, which is certainly much larger than a human being. This little loom turned out to be a lot easier to learn, and I use all the different weights and textures I wanted to try, including rippedโ€ฆ
