Wool Pressing Mat 17 13 5 Review

I bought this to use for small crafts in my dining room like the masks I am making now. It's the perfect size, portable and easy to use. I am very happy with it and recommend it. Be careful not to get it wet - the instructions tell you that. You don't want water getting into it and not drying properly.

Ironing quilt pieces on a standard ironing board will cause warping and stretching. This wool pad prevents this and makes ironing easier. Now you can easily set up a presser station right next to your sewing machine. What a time saver! The pad has a large thickness of 1/2 inch. Good quality wool and construction. I bought wool pads from another store and they weren't that good. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this mat to hold quilt blocks in place. Well packaged, arrived safely. The carpet is thick and dense. I use an Oliso steam iron on the cotton/linen setting and only notice a slight "wool" smell when working on high steam. I was surprised that the pleats worked out easily with my pre-washed quilted cotton with very little effort. My seams stayed flat on the quilt blocks. All in all a great product at a great price compared to quilt shops! The silicone ironing stand works very well too…

This rug is dense and the perfect thickness. It is very convenient to have next to the sewing machine. The size is perfect. I love that it comes with a silicone pad to hold my mini iron so it doesn't burn the mat. I'm not sure if the mat makes ironing easier or if my new mini iron is efficient. Both together make ironing much easier.
