This fan tilts top to bottom, which a lot of people don't do. Good for high places! Pretty quiet, two other brands were brought back because they were too loud to watch TV. Good value for money. Wanted a remote but didn't want to spend $60. Use a remote control socket instead.

I bought this fan for quiet/silent operation and it works well. I would rate this fan as more efficient as it moves a lot of air for its size. It's fairly quiet, moving almost twice as much air as the ones it replaced at the same noise level. Although it's not quiet at low speed.

For the past few months I've been running this at high speed for about 7 hours a day like it's leaking out my window. Very quiet. The switch feels comfortable. Maybe it could expel a little more air on the first two speeds, but at higher speeds it's definitely good for my needs. The preset tilt positions snap well and stay put between clicks.

Received this fan today. When I turned it on, it immediately started rattling like there was something in there. So I took it apart and found 2 small pieces of plastic that were probably left behind by the assemblers. It cannot be that this was quality checked before shipping. I removed and sanded the plastic parts, reassembled and now everything works fine. I think they need to work on quality control.
