Wubbers Large 7mm and 9mm Bail Making Jewelry Pliers Review

Item received second hand. The packaging was opened and the pliers used/dirty. I did not purchase a used item. Very disappointed.

These are the best. I found Amazon to have the best price for these pliers. I bought these because I work on projects based on Sharlyn Miller books (she recommends Wubbers) and I use the largest pliers most of the time. The handles may look big (even compared to the kid's version), but they fit perfectly in my small hands. The surface is matte and so smooth, I like that. They feel solid, and they should be, as they are great for heavy calibers.

These pliers make it easy to make an earhook for my design. They are just the right size for many other wire jobs that require spools and bobbins to be mass produced. These are my tools for when I need the best, easiest pliers for the job. I don't want to work without her.

Definitely a good addition to my wire wrapping tools. They are easy to use and I have never made a crooked shackle with them. I love the grip - the right amount of power - and the custom feel of these pliers. To top it off, the price is quite friendly and allowed me to try out a quality instrument without having to budget for weeks.

It's fine for what it is, but the quality of the tool itself leaves a lot to be desired. First, steel from Pakistan; it is printed on the side. The quality control of steel products from Pakistan is a bit questionable, so time will tell how reliable this tool really is. Dorne (and this is very important). Third, the handles of these pliers are covered in cheap pill-shaped foam where, after rubbing them with my thumb, tiny beads of pill-like material fell off. I'm not sure how long it will take…
