📷 Wyze Cam v3 Spotlight: Enhancing Visibility and Performance Review

I bought 2 cameras to watch the wild cats I feed on my doorstep. On the first night of recording I discovered two new cats. Now I can set traps for people to catch them and TNR. The second camera is for monitoring my pets inside. The image quality, whether night or day, is surprisingly good. I highly recommend making this camera easy to set up and use.

I would give the camera itself 5 stars, but charging a monthly fee to record more than 12 seconds onto your memory card is nonsensical. I can understand there being a fee when using their cloud storage service, but that's not the case. Also, charging a monthly fee for some features like buying a car and charging a monthly fee to use the headlights, power windows, seats, etc. I will no longer buy Wyze products as they want you to be able to use their features rent.

This review refers to"Wyze Spotlight for Wyze Cam v3". But sometimes it seems like they release products early and this might be one of them. The light is not bright enough to be useful or improve image quality. Also, no matter what I tried, the light only stays on for 1 or 2 seconds and then goes off. The spotlight was easy enough to install. The problem was the ability to change the settings in the application. Even though I had it set to a high light output, since it was outside it quickly reverted to a low light output no matter how many times I tried changing the settings. The low performance is very weak and designed for outdoor use. It's pretty much useless from the outside. The light output settings just wouldn't hold up. Excellent picture quality day and night. Better than some commercial competition. No external IR LEDs are required at night. This camera works well and shows some colors at night!
