Finally, all the features you need are at your fingertips.

First of all, you should know that I'm not a fan of the universal remote control. I don't mind having 6 remotes on my desk and having to reach for 3 to run the whole TV/console/Bluray etc. Once everything is on you only need one remote to work anyway. However, this remote control is what I've been missing for a long time. better than my tv netflix plugin, sony blyray interface, ps3 or wii. I don't even need to mention the latter as it's hard to call it an interface, but it's good. Big plus…

xBox Universal Media Remote

A few years later we added a cable to the antenna, then we added a quad-core PC tuner and cable card, so now we're navigating through Windows Media Center (WMC). a television screen. This is a huge improvement, allowing us to edit the program guide to our needs and eliminate unsubscribed channels, duplicate lists and the like. This setup has also added the whole house DVR function and we can also view the recorded programs via WMC. We were able to navigate the new setup using the xBox game…

No more holding down the Big X button. I also like that it can also be used to control the TV. It took a while for the code to work for the TV, but after about 10 minutes of automatically scanning…

I use an external SiliconDust Dual HomeRun tuner for my router and later for the PC. This allows me to record up to two channels simultaneously in HD using Windows Media Center. I also use an old (but legendary) Linksys WRT54G router (the blue one you see everywhere). This router is too slow to stream HDTV wirelessly, I would have to upgrade to a gigabit router for that. That's a lot of data to send over the air. FYI, the SiliconDust tuner is over-the-air (OTA), so you need an antenna. You can…
