Works with Asus ROG Strix X470F

I bought this so I can connect my GPU to the case fans via mobo headers. Works perfectly. The GPU is on the default fan curve, so gaming temperatures are the same, but average fan speeds during gaming have dropped significantly, resulting in a much quieter system overall. 3x 140mm 550RPM case fans are much quieter than 3x 80mm 2000RPM GPU fans. The sensor is high quality and accurate enough for my purposes.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine

Works great on my Asus ROG Strix B450F gaming motherboard!

I connected this sensor to the 2-pin T_Sensor on my ROG Strix B450-F and it works great. I use it to monitor the temperature of my VRM because my motherboard is not working. I don't have my own VRM sensor. It reports accurate temperatures in every monitoring app I've used (AISuite, HWInfo, Aida64, and Argus Monitor). I absolutely recommend it to anyone who needs an extra temperature sensor for their PC.

  • Don't waste too much time

Suitable for my motherboard's thermocouple/Tprobe use case

I bought this to use with an ASUS z490 Prime board which has a 2-pin thermocouple connector. Works as intended to provide data and seems accurate compared to other temperature sensors. I wish it was longer so I could wrap it behind the board and out of sight, but it reached the VRM from the bottom of the board. . It has sleeves so it looks nice visually.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Here are some cool ones: Fans and Cooling

I have two of these, one inside the case to see how well it is ventilated and the other outside the case to measure the ambient temperature. Download your free copy of HWiNFO64 and you now have all the data you need to estimate the temperature on your PC and anything else that can be measured. Seriously, even if your motherboard doesn't have a socket, download the software with every new build and test the performance. Do this especially on pre-built machines so you don't get ripped off!

Pros
  • Lots enough
Cons
  • This is making me angry

Ideal for PC mainboard temperature sensors

XSPC 10K wired sensor: Sensor as described. ASUS ROG Extreme motherboard. Temperature readings are accurate compared to infrared temp spot readers, motherboard BIOS and Windows software. The length is ideal at 50°C. It travels through the motherboard to heat pipes on the GPU and PSU or other devices. shielding is good. I can add additional heatsink material at the end of the shield to the end of the connector. It's just a preference. I will be purchasing these wired sensors from this seller for

Works with ASRock Rack motherboards

Looks like a standard 10kΩ NTC thermistor and works great with my ASRock Rack ROMED8-2T motherboard. The motherboard came with a sensor connector, but didn't include one (and didn't even state what type is compatible). Since the 10K ohm NTC thermistor is very common, I bet it would work, and it does! The sensor is very thin and then goes on a fairly standard cable. It feels a little fragile, but it's worth it because it can be attached almost anywhere. It measures within ±1°C of other sensors…

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Clarity

Works great with my ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero X570 ATX motherboard

This "XSPC 10K wired sensor" works great to control the fans on my case attached to my "ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero X570 ATX motherboard" is connected. I connected it to the T_Sensor connector on the bottom right corner of the motherboard and pulled it up so the sensor hangs in the airflow between the CPU cooler and the rear fan. This gives me a decent, meaningful temperature to use with my case's custom fan curve. I rate it an excellent 5 out of 5 stars.
