Plug the SATA RAID PCI card into the PCI slot on your motherboard, and connect SATA devices to the ports on the PCI card using the cables provided, or standard SATA cables of adequate length. Add four independent SATA-I ports to your PCI equipped computer and enjoy the benefits of the optional software RAID configuration for added speed and/or data security with this adapter card. The card comes with an optional RAID utility which lets you configure a RAID 0 RAID 1 or RAID 0+1 setup on two or more of the SATA ports. SIL3114 chipset and supports two modes: 32-bit at66MHZ and 64-bit at 133MHZ. Package Contents: 1 x 4-Port SATA PCI Expansion Card , 2 x SATA Cable , 1 x Software CD (It is PCI card,NOT PCIE card).

does not work with MSI H55-E22

I could not get this to work with MSI H55-e22 motherboard. It literally freezes at boot with a blinking cursor and nothing happens when I installed it.

no win10 compatibility el installador no se encuentra en linea el cd no special versions to install wins and no sirve conectarlo para mobo asus rog b450 F games tuve que comprar un adapterador external to connect and no tengo el installer

Cheap, doesn't work at 66MHz bus frequency, I noticed a broken SATA connector right away!

I only need two SATA ports so I'm not returning the product but I might look for a better card in the future. If you need a four-port SATA-2 card to connect to a standard 32-bit/33MHz PCI motherboard (does not work at 66MHz), hopefully your card will ship with all four SATA connectors intact . As for my needs, this will work for now. I'm not sure I would trust any RAID configuration with this hot mess!

Simple and works, what more could you ask for

Plug and Play with Debian Linux (Buster). I needed additional SATA ports to migrate from the old raid array to the new one. That helped. I can't say anything about long-term reliability.

It runs on Windows 10 Pro. Here's the procedure

So, a quick background that might help you all understand who this works for. I have an Optilex 9020 with Windows 10 Pro. The system has a PCI port that has been empty for some time. Having just added an additional SSD, I decided to use this product to add my two old hard drives to my system. After installing and starting my system, the two hard drives connected to the device were not recognized directly. I had to go to control panel -> device manager -> storage controllers -> findโ€ฆ

Works great for internals

I bought this to expand my hard drive. Now I use 5 discs on the same system along with DVDRW. The device does exactly what I need and the price was fair for what I wanted it for. I didn't bother to check the speed or anything because I just needed the ports. So for me it fits perfectly.
